Incoming exchange students

Alliance Manchester Business School has almost 20 years of experience in receiving undergraduate exchange students from all around the world, contributing to a student body which is already highly international. Our international team is responsible for the coordination of all activities related to establishing and maintaining undergraduate exchange agreements with overseas universities.

Each year, we send and receive around 300 undergraduate exchange students from some 50 exchange partners who have each been carefully selected from among the top business and management schools across the globe covering Europe, South East Asia, Australasia, the United States and Canada. See the International Exchange Partners section for a full list of our current exchange partners. Our international team is supported by the University of Manchester International Society and the Alliance MBS International Society.

Incoming exchange students are expected to take a workload equivalent to that of a typical Manchester undergraduate. Due to a high level of demand for exchange places at Alliance MBS, we are unable to take students other than those who are nominated by our partner institutions.

Alliance MBS provides a cosmopolitan international environment, with around one-third of full-time undergraduates arriving from outside the UK. The exchange programmes at Alliance MBS make a further valuable contribution to the culturally diverse environment, and enhances the learning experience of all students.

We look forward to welcoming you to Manchester and to Alliance Manchester Business School.

Peter Hartman "If I had to pick the city of choice between the sun in Sydney and the food in Rome, the wine in Paris or the cool metropolis London - I'd easily pick Manchester again, again and again."

Andres Parra "The University of Manchester has a really affordable travelling group that organises trips on the weekend. Once you start making European friends, they help you find cheap ways to travel."
