Welcome from the Library
A very warm welcome to all new students – we’re looking forward to meeting you! At the Library we’re here to support you with your studies, and make sure you get the best possible learning experience while at the University so you can reach your full potential.
Kickstart your journey with us by checking out our Get Started webpages; they’ve got useful links to the sections of the Library website you’ll need in your first few weeks. If you’re on campus, come and see us in the Main Library, Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, or one of our site libraries. Our friendly staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have, no matter how big or small (they’re the ones wearing purple so they’re super easy to spot).
You can also chat to our staff online, using the Library Chat tab on the right-hand side of our webpages. Don’t forget that you can get a full introduction to using the Library at our Get Started Anytime drop in sessions, and follow us on social media @UoMLibrary for live info and updates
